2023 International Math Open for Young Achievers (IMOYA) ON-SITE COMPETITION RESULTS

Singapore – The International Math Wizards Challenge (IMWiC) 2023, a prestigious math competition, was held in Singapore from March 24 to 27, 2023. The ONSITE event was participated by five countries and regions, namely the Philippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macao and Indonesia while the Online Contest was conducted simultaneously for participants who were unable to travel due to the ongoing pandemic.

The Onsite Contest was a thrilling event, with participants showcasing their mathematical prowess in various categories such as Algebra, Geometry, Number Theory, and Combinatorics. The competition was intense, with each participant giving their best to secure a spot in the top ranks.

Hong Kong-Macao emerged as the overall champion in the Onsite Contest, with Philippines and Indonesia taking the second and third spots, respectively. Vietnam also put up a strong performance, with several of their participants making it to the top 10.


The Online Contest was equally exciting, with participants from more 6 countries such as Thailand, Taiwan, Bulgaria, South Africa, Malaysia and India competing against each other in real-time. The competition was conducted using advanced technology, ensuring a fair and transparent process.

The International Math Wizards Challenge is a platform for young math enthusiasts to showcase their skills and compete with the best in the world. The event is a testament to the importance of mathematics in today’s world and the need to encourage and nurture young talent in this field.
